This stuff works exactly as described. I pressed it on the hot sole plate while it was still on, and the gunk practically wiped away without any scraping.

I was skeptical about applying anything directly to a hot iron, but this cream took off years of fusible web gunk in about two passes. The sole plate glides like it did when it was new, and the application process was way less messy than I expected.

The cream spreads easily over the hot sole plate and lifts off that stuck-on fusible residue in one pass—way less scrubbing than I expected. My iron glides smoothly again, and the whole process took maybe five minutes.
